Meet Our Doctors
Dr. Timothy Hertz
Dr. Hertz and his wife Amy reside in Brooklyn, New York. He is a Vermont native, while his wife is originally from North Caldwell, NJ. Dr. Hertz completed his dental training at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, where he earned the prestigious Donald Greiner, D.D.S. Scholarship for academic excellence. He completed his residency at the Brooklyn Veterans Affairs Hospital, giving back to those who have given so much for our country. He has also donated his time and care to participants of the Special Olympics and the Mission of Mercy. Dr. Hertz has taken extensive continuing education in restorative dentistry and root canal treatment. “When I am not taking care of my patients at Dental Care, I enjoy playing golf and spending time with my wife, Amy, and dog, Rusty.”
Dr. Amanda Hochstein
Dr. Amanda Hochstein earned her D.D.S. degree from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. She completed her specialty training in Periodontics at New York University College of Dentistry, where she was able to train under some of the most prestigious members of her field. She earned her board certification in Periodontics, and has lectured at local and national dental conferences on a wide variety of periodontal topics. She has extensive experience in all aspects of periodontal treatment, from implants to bone regeneration, to gum grafting and laser therapy. She is also a member of the board of the Northeastern Society of Periodontists. Dr. Hochstein brings to our practice the latest and most effective periodontal and implant treatments available, and strives to provide treatment that is comfortable and predictable. She is a very caring and compassionate practitioner, who prides herself on the relationships she builds with her patients.
Dr. Hochstein resides in New Jersey with her husband Greg. When she is not taking care of patients, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, running, and traveling. What she loves most about working at Dental Care is the warm and caring environment in which she can provide exceptional care for each patient she treats.
Dr. Igor “Jerry” Igdalev
Dr. Igor “Jerry” Igdalev grew up in Bergen County and attended Fordham University for his undergraduate degree. He then continued on to receive his masters in biomedical sciences at UMDNJ and completed his dental degree at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine when he was a member of the highly exclusive Prosthodontic Honor Society. Dr. Jerry’s is particularly empathetic and caring with nervous and anxious patients and is committed to helping show them that dentistry can be fun, pain free and tremendously rewarding. Dr. Jerry continues to live in Bergen County with his wife and 2 dogs and they love to cook, travel, hike, ski and any other outdoor adventures they can find in the Garden State.
Dr. Eric Oh
Dr. Eric Oh grew up in Plainsboro, NJ and attended Cornell University for his undergraduate degree. He then continued onto UMDNJ and received his masters in biomedical sciences and completed his education at NYU College of Dentistry. Dr. Oh did his residency at Hackensack Medical Center and simultaneously received the President’s Volunteer Service Award for his dedication and volunteering his time to middle school students, in low income communities, to expand their learning and expose them to different career opportunities. Dr. Oh currently resides in Somerville, NJ and will be married this year! When he isn’t practicing he likes to read, train for marathons and try new restaurants. His favorite part about dentistry is “providing outstanding care that helps his patients become healthy, confident and realize going to the dentist can actually be fun”!
